The Kumbh Mela is a gathering of holy gurus, Sadhus and hindu believers from all parts of India. It takes place every three years at one of four points along the sacred rivers in India. Ritual baths, religious discussions, devotional singing and mass feedings are the main activities. The Kumbh Mela is the time where most Sadhus are initiated into a holy life devoted to God.
